Having finished 20th in the second tier and the club nearly bankrupt, Kevin Keegan and Sir John Hall joined forces to spark a huge turnaround for the club.
In just two seasons under King Kev we marked our return to the Premier League and finished third in our first season back! We then went on to compete for the Premier League title finishing second to Man United in 95/96. We played very attractive attacking football, and Newcastle became known as the 'Entertainers'.
